Fall in to Self-Care: 5 Tips for Self-Care

Fall is my favorite season and also the season that seems to bring me to the brink of insanity. Here in Vermont, we are not only scrambling to get ready for winter, but we are trying to squeeze in every last drop of sunny, warm-ish weather before we hunker down for the long, cold winters when you’ll be lucky if you see your neighbor over the next 6 months. Unless you are an avid skier or outdoor winter enthusiast you’ll see a steep decline in your social interaction with other humans. So in the spirit of the fun and crazy energy of fall I’ve put together my top 5 favorite activities in a self-care checklist for autumn!

1. Get Moving.

Take a hike up a mountain in your cozy sweater with a thermos of hot tea! Breath deep and enjoy the fall foliage!

2. Get Warm.

Sunday morning baths with a therapeutic homemade salt scrub.

3. Get Spicey.

Visit the farmer’s market and grab a pumpkin latte and hot doughnuts.

4. Get Relaxed.

Get a warm stone or hot bamboo massage!

5. Get Connected.

Have a soup potluck and play some lawn games with friends in the crisp autumn air!
